How We Give Back

Charities and Causes Dr. John D. Kling II, MAGD, AAACD and Team

Giving back is a value that is embraced by Dr. Kling and his team.

If you know Dr. Kling, you know he is a very compassionate dentist and a kind human being. Dr. Kling has woven these principles into the fabric of his practice... His humility, thoughtfulness and generosity are well known by his staff, patients and throughout his community.

Give Back a Smile (GBAS) is the charity foundation of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). Dr. Kling has volunteered his time and expertise over the years to restore the injured teeth of domestic violence survivors. Graciously, one of Dr. Kling’s Give Back a Smile patient, Lisa, wanted to ‘give back’ by sharing her experience with Dr. Kling and the GBAS program.

Dr. Kling also hosts an annual Domestic Violence Awareness event

October is the National Domestic Violence Awareness month. Dr. Kling, in partnership with the Alexandria campus of Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA), hosts an event to help bring awareness to domestic violence. Parts of the GBAS video above are from one of the Domestic Violence Awareness events Dr. Kling has co-hosted with NOVA. In addition, Dr. Kling has partnered with Alexandria businesses to raise money for local shelters and raised money for Give Back a Smile.

Many Years, Many Ways of Giving Back

Dr. Kling has ‘given back’ in many different ways.  He has placed protective sealants on children during his years as a volunteer at the Northern Virginia Dental Clinic. He participated as the ‘Finish Line Brigade’ sponsor in the National Alzheimer’s Walk in Washington DC, donates toothbrushes to various organizations, annually donates to the FBI Agents Associated Thomas E. Duhadway Charity Golf Tournament, holds an annual ‘Patient Recognition Week’ celebration,  is an annual sponsor for the Alexandria Walk to Fight Breast Cancer and so much more.
